The Assassination Records Review Board

Five citizens who forced open millions of pages, 1994–1998

RECORD / AT A GLANCE

Completed; its records are the basis of every later release

Documented. The Board opened most of what is now public. Its report also documents agency failures to comply, including the Secret Service’s 1995 destruction of trip records, which feeds suspicion even though the Board did not treat it as evidence of a plot.
