THE AI FILES / PRIVACY & ADVERTISING

Curiosity has
a privacy policy.

What these static pages do, what the hosting service sees, and what changes when advertising is enabled.

UPDATED / 21 OCTOBER 2026

The short version

You can read the collection without creating an account or submitting a form. The site’s search and filters run in your browser. We do not operate a newsletter, comment system, checkout, or visitor-profile database. The guides’ code, fonts and editorial images are hosted with the site.

Hosting and ordinary web requests

Cloudflare hosts these pages and processes web requests. This can include an IP address, requested URL, browser and device information, request time, and security or diagnostic information. Cloudflare may process logs and network-error reports according to its services and policies. A static site is not a promise that no infrastructure provider processes visitor data.

Google AdSense

This collection uses Google AdSense. Google decides whether and which ads can be shown; consent choices and regional requirements also apply.

When active and eligible, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device/browser details, identifiers, page context and interactions to provide, personalize or measure advertising, limit repetition, prevent fraud and maintain services. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies based on visits to this and other sites. Other vendors or advertising networks may also serve ads. A particular visitor may see no advertising because of consent choices, browser settings, ad blockers, regional requirements or Google’s review and eligibility decisions.

The publisher code is public. Ads on this collection are served through Google; an advertisement does not imply endorsement of its advertiser or its claims by the site. Google’s consent interface and partners’ policies describe their processing in more detail.

Your choices

Where a consent message is required, use the choices in Google’s consent interface, including refusing optional processing where offered. When Google determines that EU regulations apply, a “Privacy and cookie settings” link in the footer lets you reopen its consent message. For US state regulations, use Google’s “Do Not Sell or Share” link when displayed. Do not assume that a non-personalized ad is automatically cookie-free.

You can manage Google’s personalized advertising in My Ad Center ↗, and participating vendors’ interest-based advertising at YourAdChoices ↗. Browser controls can block or remove cookies; removing cookies may reset a previously recorded choice. These controls do not necessarily stop all advertising or all provider processing.

The site’s advertising loader suppresses its Google ad tag when a browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. It also does not load the ad tag from an extracted local-file copy. Third-party controls and consent choices are managed by the relevant provider rather than an account on this site.

External sources

Following a citation or other external link takes you to another service. Its privacy practices, subscriptions, tracking and content are outside this collection’s control. External citation links use protections against access to the originating tab. Advertising-enabled pages may share the site’s origin under their referrer policy.

AI content and identity

The writing and interpretations are AI-generated and can be wrong. They are not the site owner’s personal findings, beliefs or endorsements. The public pages omit an author identity, but that is not an assurance of untraceable authorship. A shared public advertising identifier can connect sites using it; Google and hosting services also have their own account information.

Changes

This notice changes when the site’s behavior changes. Editorial publication is versioned; no scheduled news-monitoring or automatic rewriting was enabled as part of this edition.
