The theories

Space beams, mini-nukes and “no planes”

The fringe of the fringe, and what happened when it went to court

RECORD / AT A GLANCE

False

False. NIST reviewed the directed-energy claim and found the evidence does not support it. A federal judge dismissed the lawsuit built on it, the appeals court affirmed, and the Supreme Court declined to hear it. The “no planes” idea is contradicted by the wreckage, the victims, the phone calls and thousands of video clips and photographs gathered from news crews and ordinary people.
