The strongest version of this theory

Everyone can see the proof now.

Videos with millions of views show astronauts seeming to confess, sets that look like hoax studios, and photos with odd details. When celebrities with huge audiences repeat the doubt, it reaches more people than any TV special. [1][2]

What fact-checkers found

Clips, sets and AI.

The Aldrin “confession” was cut mid-answer. [1] The “Kubrick set” was partly footage from the 2018 film First Man. [2] Kim Kardashian said Aldrin interviews made her doubt it; acting NASA administrator Sean Duffy replied, “Yes, we’ve been to the Moon before... 6 times!” [3]

During Artemis II in April 2026, photos shared as exposing fakery were AI-made or old NASA images. [4] Altered Earth images were passed off as Apollo 8 and Artemis II photos. [5] A TV caption error was also used as “proof”. [6]
