The strongest version of this theory

One sun means parallel shadows.

With one light source, shadows should all point the same way. In some Apollo frames they do not. And Aldrin, climbing down the ladder in the lander’s shadow, is clearly lit. For a photographer, that suggests a fill light. [1]

What explains the shadows

Perspective, slopes and a very bright floor.

Parallel lines in the real world can converge in a photo, like railway tracks. Shadows falling across bumps and slopes bend further. Royal Museums Greenwich uses this to explain the Apollo shadows. [1]

The lunar surface reflects a lot of sunlight, and so do white spacesuits and the lander’s foil. That reflected light brightens shadowed areas, the way a photographer’s white reflector does. [1][3]

In 2008 the MythBusters built a scale model of the Apollo 11 site and lit it with one lamp. They reproduced both the angled shadows and the lit astronaut in shadow. [2] Several studio lights would also create several shadows for each object. No Apollo photo shows that.
