1992 claim; 1999 Star DNA: no match.
A 1992 Globe tabloid story alleged Bill Clinton fathered Danney Williams with Bobbie Ann Williams. In January 1999 the Star financed DNA samples compared to Clinton DNA data published with the Starr Report. Editor Phil Bunton: there was no match, nothing even close. [1][4][3]
Howard Kurtz’s Washington Post piece recorded how the rumor had leapt from Drudge to late night before the test orphaned it. [1]
Resurfacing in later cycles does not reopen a closed DNA comparison.
Bottom line False
False as to Clinton paternity on the reported DNA result.
What the record can’t settle
Tabloid-financed test; reported by mainstream press; raw lab report not a public government exhibit.

State’s Dec 15 2012 statement is the primary medical spine for mid-December.
On 15 December 2012 the State Department said that while suffering from a stomach virus, Secretary Clinton became dehydrated and fainted, sustaining a concussion. She was recovering at home and, on doctors’ advice, would work from home. [1]
That statement — not cable-news inference — is the starting point for what happened next: a postponed Benghazi hearing week, a faking charge, and then a clot found in follow-up.
Bottom line Documented
Contemporaneous State medical statement: virus → dehydration → faint → concussion.
What the record can’t settle
State PR is not a full hospital chart.

The faking charge is real rhetoric timed before the clot announcement.
On Fox News in mid-December 2012, former UN ambassador John Bolton said every foreign-service officer knows the phrase ‘diplomatic illness,’ and called Clinton’s situation ‘a diplomatic illness to beat the band,’ tying it to scheduled Benghazi testimony. [1][2][3]
State spokesperson Victoria Nuland answered: completely untrue; the department had put out a full statement; Bolton was not privy to inside information; the virus, dehydration, faint and concussion were real. [1][2]
Chronology matters: this exchange happened **before** the Dec 30 clot finding. A charge that she faked illness to dodge Congress does not become true because critics disliked the testimony delay — and it sits awkwardly against later hospitalisation.
Bottom line Documented
Documented that the charge was made; documented that State rejected it; clot still in the future.
What the record can’t settle
Does not litigate Bolton’s broader Benghazi views — see sibling guide.

Strongest case that timing looked political — and what it still needs.
Steel-man: testimony was imminent; the ARB report week was politically radioactive; cancelling an overseas trip and then a hearing looked convenient; transparency about the concussion lagged the illness itself. [1][2]
What the steel-man still needs and does not have: evidence the virus/concussion/clot were invented; evidence she was medically able to testify that week and chose not to; an answer for the Dec 30 hospitalisation and January testimony. [3][4]

Dec 30 State statement + doctors’ detail via NYT.
On 30 December 2012 State said doctors discovered a blood clot stemming from the concussion in a follow-up exam; she was on anticoagulants at NewYork-Presbyterian for monitoring. [1][4][3]
Doctors Lisa Bardack and Gigi El-Bayoumi said the clot was in a vein between her brain and skull behind the right ear, did not result in a stroke or neurological damage, and that they expected full recovery. [2]
Whatever one thinks of December’s testimony optics, the clot announcement is a medical event on paper — not a cable chyron.
Bottom line Documented
Documented hospitalisation and venous clot per State and treating doctors.
NYT: Clinton Admitted to Hospital With Blood Clot (Dec 31, 2012) Press carries doctors Lisa Bardack and Gigi El-Bayoumi statement: clot in a vein between brain and skull behind right ear; no stroke/neurological damage; blood thinners; full recovery expected.

Senate and House Benghazi hearings with Clinton present.
On 23 January 2013 Secretary Clinton testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Benghazi. [1][2]
That does not settle every criticism of December’s delay. It does break any storyline that the illness permanently erased accountability before Congress. Full attack investigations live in the Benghazi sibling guide. [3]

On 28 July 2015 Dr. Lisa Bardack’s campaign-released letter described Clinton as a healthy 67-year-old with hypothyroidism and seasonal allergies, said 2013 follow-ups showed complete resolution of concussion effects, and called her fit to serve. [1][2]
That letter is the baseline later forgeries try to overwrite.
Bottom line Documented
Physician primary for mid-campaign health baseline.

Bardack: false, not written by me; wrong title on letterhead.
In August 2016 documents dated February 2014 and attributed to Bardack circulated online, claiming complex partial seizures and early-onset subcortical vascular dementia, plus a bogus brain-scan image. [1][2]
Bardack’s statement: the documents are false, were not written by her, and are not based on any medical facts; she reiterated excellent health and fitness to serve. FactCheck noted her title was wrong on the forged letterhead versus her verified 2015 letter. [1]
Later recirculation (including 2020) does not revive forgeries. [3]
Bottom line False
False documents. Physician denial is primary; letterhead error is corroboration.
What the record can’t settle
Fact-check sites used as carriers, not spine judges.
Chelsea Clinton in 1999 — documentary portrait for the Hubbell-rumor chapter. Zero Emission Resource Organisation (free license via prior guide) · Public domain — U.S. government work
Rumor without affirmative evidence; she answered in 2015.
A long-running internet rumor claims Webster Hubbell, Hillary Clinton’s former Rose Law Firm partner, is Chelsea Clinton’s biological father. At a 2015 Austin book signing she was asked on camera and said she was ‘so proud to be my parents’ daughter.’ [1]
Secondary tracing finds the rumor spun from thin misreadings, not a DNA file or admission. [2]
Unsupported is the honest label: absence of proof for the rumor, plus her denial — not a courtroom paternity judgment.
Bottom line Unproven
Unsupported. Distinct from the Williams DNA disproof.
National September 11 Memorial — place of the 11 Sep 2016 ceremony Clinton left early. AI Files record card (no free-licensed portrait; not a face stand-in) · CC BY 2.0
Friday diagnosis; Sunday public statement after the stumble.
On 11 September 2016 Clinton left the 9/11 memorial ceremony early. Video showed her buckling as she was helped into a van. The campaign first said she was overheated; hours later it released Dr. Bardack’s statement that pneumonia had been diagnosed on Friday, with antibiotics and rest advised, and that she had become overheated and dehydrated at the event. [1][2][3]
Two facts travel together and must not cancel each other: (1) pneumonia was real per her physician; (2) the public learned after a viral stumble, not on Friday. [1]
Earlier cough had been framed as allergies — another disclosure-friction detail, not proof of a hidden terminal disease. [3][4]

Why holding pneumonia looked like secrecy — and what it doesn’t prove.
Steel-man: a presidential nominee with pneumonia stayed on the trail messaging allergies; the public saw the van video before the diagnosis; trust in medical transparency was already low after years of rumor. [1][2]
What it doesn’t prove: seizures, dementia, Parkinson’s, or body doubles. The Sep 14 Bardack letter expands Coumadin history and the pneumonia course without matching forged-record claims. [3]
Bottom line Partly true
Disclosure failure can be real without the catastrophic diagnosis being real.

Bardack’s 14 September 2016 letter summarized Coumadin dosing after the 2012 clot era, a January 2016 sinus/ear infection with myringotomy tube, a Sep 2 evaluation for fever/congestion/fatigue, and the Sep 9 noncontrast chest CT showing small right middle-lobe bacterial pneumonia treated with Levaquin. She said Clinton was recovering and fit to serve. [1][2]

Viral readings of video gestures; AP context on a head-shake joke.
Through 2016, sites claimed seizures or Parkinson’s from campaign video — including a June head-shake that an AP reporter on scene described as an exaggerated joke. [1]
Those viral claims are not physician diagnoses. They are not the same fact as the forged 2014 documents, and not the same fact as documented pneumonia.
Bottom line Unproven
Unsupported as clinical diagnoses; distinct from forged papers and from pneumonia.

Real illness, slow disclosure, forgery, and DNA are different facts.
The hub short case closed with **Mostly false**. That fits forged records and the Danney Williams claim. It undersells the concussion, clot and pneumonia — and the real disclosure fight in 2016. [1]
This guide’s method: label each spine separately so a reader cannot treat a hospitalisation as a conspiracy proof or a forgery as proof she was never ill.
Bottom line History
Do not collapse the file into one false blob.
What the record can’t settle
Does not offer clinical second opinions beyond published physician statements.
Phase one (Dec 2012): illness announced; faking charge leads; clot has not yet appeared. [1]
Phase two (late Dec–Jan): clot and hospitalisation force a medical frame; January testimony undercuts permanent-dodge narratives. [2][6]
Phase three (2016): forged records and seizure memes; then pneumonia is real but disclosed after video — feeding both ‘see, she’s ill’ and ‘see, they hide’ camps at once. [4][3]
Phase four (later): forgeries and Williams claims recirculate as if unanswered. [5]
Bottom line History
Memory fractured because different facts peaked in different weeks.
