Fortune reported in December 2024 that David Sacks, who worked with Thiel at PayPal and wrote for the Stanford Review, was named “AI and crypto czar”; that Michael Kratsios, Thiel Capital’s former chief of staff, was handling tech policy for the transition; and that in the first term Ken Howery, a PayPal and Stanford Review alumnus, was ambassador to Sweden and Kratsios was deputy chief technology officer. In June 2024 Thiel said he was not giving money: “If you hold a gun to my head, I’ll vote for Trump… I’m not going to give any money to his super PAC.” The Washington Examiner, from the right, reported the same remarks. [2][3]
