RECORD / AT A GLANCE

Partly true

That Bush kept reading for several minutes is documented. The Commission accepted that Bush authorized the shootdown in a call with Cheney but found no documentary record of the call. Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta’s account of Cheney in the bunker conflicts with the Commission’s timeline.

DISPUTED The morning of 11 September

“Mineta heard Cheney confirm an order to let the Pentagon plane through.”
