The investigations

RECORD / AT A GLANCE

Core findings on Oswald upheld; conspiracy inquiry found deficient

Partly true. The Commission’s case that Oswald fired from the sixth floor has been confirmed by every later official review. Its claim to have ruled out conspiracy was not well founded: the House committee found its conspiracy investigation “flawed,” and the Senate found the agencies withheld information that should have shaped it. That it was a deliberate whitewash by its members is not shown.
