The building

Temple, mosque, music room.

Reporters in 2019 described a striped structure with a gold dome, painted doors and no obvious purpose. The 2026 files show Epstein called it a “mosque” in correspondence, while plans labelled it a music room, chapel or pavilion. He sourced tiles from Uzbekistan in 2011 and, in 2017, received three pieces of the Kiswa, the embroidered cloth that covers the Kaaba, through contacts in the Emirates. [1][2][3][4][5]

For Muslims, the Kiswa is sacred, and its presence in a sex offender’s home was offensive news in 2026. For Christians and others who saw a temple of something darker, the documents point to an eccentric collector of religious objects and status symbols, not a site of worship of any kind. [6]

What we can’t tell you. The CNN visual investigation of the island’s buildings shows layouts, not uses.

Sacrifice, cannibalism and the occult

What the files actually contain.

The files include a 2019 FBI interview with an anonymous man who claimed he saw “ritualistic sacrifice” and babies killed on a yacht in 2000, with former presidents present. He gave no evidence, the source came via a fringe website, and agents recommended spending no further resources on it. The Justice Department later withdrew the document from the online library. [1]

Viral “cannibal” screenshots are words like “cannibal” in jokes, restaurant names and book titles; “occult” appears in medical test names. The steelman is that a man who abused children without consequence for years could have done anything; that is a feeling, not evidence. The documented horror is the abuse itself. [1]

What we can’t tell you. Removing a document fuels suspicion; it is not proof the document was true.
