What the health service says, and what critics say.

NHS England announced in November 2023 that a Palantir-led group had won the contract for its Federated Data Platform, meant to connect information already held across hospital systems. [1]

Its FAQs set out how the platform is meant to work and the limits placed on the supplier. They are the customer’s own account. [2]

Amnesty, backing a briefing by the health group Medact, has called on NHS trusts to refuse the platform and on NHS England to cancel the contract, citing Palantir’s work on U.S. immigration enforcement and its supply of AI products to the Israeli military. Palantir’s replies are included in the briefing. [3]

WFP announced in February 2019 that Palantir would help it analyze its supply chain; it said earlier Palantir-supported work had saved more than $30 million. [1]

Privacy International objected, calling Palantir a “CIA-backed data monolith” and raising concerns about data on vulnerable people. [2]
