Musk married Justine Wilson in 2000. Their first son died in infancy. They then had twins and triplets through IVF, and separated in 2008. He married actress Talulah Riley twice. He has three children with the musician Grimes and at least four with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, the latest announced in March 2025. [1][2]

Paternity, custody and a lawsuit.

In February 2025, conservative commentator Ashley St. Clair said Musk was the father of her son and sought sole custody. A paternity test was later reported. In January 2026 Musk said he would seek full custody. St. Clair also sued xAI in 2026 over Grok-generated images of her. [1]

On 22 October 2026, both sides skipped a custody hearing as their lawyers negotiated child support. No final ruling had been reported. [2]
