Britain
Riots, grooming gangs and a rally.
During the riots in England in August 2024, Musk wrote “civil war is inevitable” and used the tag #TwoTierKeir, accusing Prime Minister Keir Starmer of policing protesters unequally. Downing Street said there was no justification for the comment. [1][2]
In January 2025 he posted repeatedly about grooming gangs, the organized sexual abuse of girls in several English towns. He called minister Jess Phillips a “rape genocide apologist” and attacked Starmer’s record as chief prosecutor. Starmer criticized “those spreading lies and misinformation.” [3][4]
On 13 September 2025, by video to the Unite the Kingdom rally in London, he said “violence is coming,” “you either fight back or you die,” and called for parliament to be dissolved. [5][6]
In a Welt am Sonntag op-ed on 28 December 2024, Musk called the far-right AfD the “last spark of hope” for Germany. On 9 January 2025 he hosted its leader, Alice Weidel, on X and said “only the AfD can save Germany.” He faced accusations in Germany of meddling in its February 2025 election. [1][2][3]
