The strongest version of this theory says Jackson knew how the music industry worked from the inside, said in 2002 that the labels conspired against Black artists, owned a catalog the powerful wanted, and was destroyed by accusations and then killed. [1][2]
The real parts are the speech, which is on the record, and the catalog, which is covered in the catalog file. Al Sharpton, who hosted the speech, distanced himself from it within days. [3] The death is explained by the coroner’s findings and Murray’s conviction. [4][5]
The theory adds a secret society, a coordinated framing of several unrelated families over decades, and a murder. No document, witness or investigation supports any of those. Notes and “final messages” that circulate online have not been traced to him.
