Paris Jackson, his daughter, has challenged the executors’ spending in probate court since 2024. In an order dated 29 April 2026, Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled that $625,000 in bonuses paid in 2018 to outside law firms must be returned. He also praised the executors’ “exceptional services” and set new rules for reviewing future fees. [1][2]
In September 2026 she asked the estate to pay about $1.17 million of her own legal costs, saying her objections had benefited it. The executor opposed the request. [3] An accounting filed for 2024 showed more than $20 million spent on Jackson’s children and his mother that year. [4]
Katherine Jackson lost her challenge to the 2024 Sony sale. [5] The fair reading is that the courts have found fault with specific payments but have backed the executors’ overall management.
