The story
Chapter 1
After 1967 unrest, the Bureau expanded a captioned Black Nationalist program that swept nonviolent SCLC alongside militant groups. A March 1968 memo named goals: prevent coalition, prevent a messiah, neutralize potential troublemakers, prevent respectability, prevent growth among youth. [1]
