Chapter 3
Pine Ridge arguments
GOON violence claims, FBI resource allocation, later Bureau death accounting — rival camps. [1]

Chapter 8
How to read this nest
Start with the critical path, not a vibe summary. Open Church Committee Book III for the captioned-program anatomy and the FBI Vault COINTELPRO series for scans. Secondary books (Medsger, Garrow, Matthiessen, Blackstock, Churchill/Vander Wall, Weiner) narrate; they do not outrank staff reports on the claim spine. YouTube hearing clips and the 1971 Media burglary documentary sit on the audiovisual spine — always label provenance and date. [2] [6] [7] [8]

Chapter 9
What Church actually found
Book II framed domestic intelligence as infringing constitutional rights, with presidential examples spanning decades. Book III detailed COINTELPRO as a vigilante operation aimed at First Amendment activity — expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, neutralize. Many targets were nonviolent; most lacked foreign control. That overbreadth finding is the educational core, even when some militants used violence. Steel-man the Bureau’s crime-prevention rhetoric, then return to the staff report. [9] [2] [10]

Chapter 10
Exposure channels
The 1971 Media, Pennsylvania burglary by the Citizens Commission put routing slips into public speech; newsrooms verified; underground channels reprinted; FOIA and lawsuits forced more paper; Church published binders. Each channel has a different epistemology — stolen dossier, newspaper verification, court record, Senate staff report. Teach the difference. [11] [12] [2]

Chapter 11
1971 end and continuum debates
Hoover terminated formal centralized captions in 1971. Church warned that COINTELPRO-type activity could continue under investigative labels. Hold both facts. Later First Amendment fights (including AIM-era and still-later monitoring controversies) are often rhymes under other names — caption discipline required. Acronym inflation and total denial are twin errors. [2] [6] [5]

Chapter 12
Rival paths on the board
Documented domestic covert action (Church holds). Acronym inflation caution (real then; over-applied later). Continuation (type activity under new names — contested totality). Hard necessity (unsupported against overbreadth record). Hoover-only (false against institutional uptake). If a path removes a critical-path node, state mustBeWrong against Book III/Vault readings. [2] [9]

Chapter 13
Cross-links and quality bar
Origins nest = grammar. Black Liberation, AIM, SWP = target fields. Media framing = plant then reveal. Church Committee = binders. Lessons = method transfer and Sovereignty rhyme. Owner t293u rejected lean typographic ships: wait rather than ship thin; documentary covers; YouTube on spine; READING; tl-graph. There will always be more time. [5] [13]
